Hey. Thanks for the updates. You guys are important to us and it is certainly helpful to know how to pray and what you guys are facing daily (at least to some extent). We sure love you!
In response to your #10, I agree, it is good to not remain focused on yourself and your needs, but at the same time, at some point, I believe it is okay. It requires a challenge to our humility and it allows others to feel needed to be able to help YOU. I think you guys have given of yourselves so much and this is a time of need for you. So, ask for and accept the help and your true friends will know that you love them even if you aren’t during this time asking them how they are and know that it is a blessing to them to be able to be a help to you. Thanks for posting this Greg. I appreciate the honesty that it takes to reveal your tendencies. Rest assured, I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t be tempted to be bitter in a situation like this.

I grieve with you in hearing how the missteps of others have caused Eden to undergo pain and frustration. Thank you for posting this encouraging note about how God rightly humbles the afflicted to be loving and forgiving as he is. As your heart has been stirred to anger, I can’t imagine God’s anger over the affliction caused to his people on account of sinful rebellion.

We have all caused pain in others. We can receive pain and forgive those who deal it because God has forgiven the violence that we have done to his name and people. God is good for having a grace that we can look up to and emulate. Bless you and your family!

It is definitely harder when your child is involved. That protective parent part of you kicks in major. Just think of how the Lord feels when one of his children is innocently hurt, no matter how old his children are. Prayers again for all of you.
